Get emails as phone notifications on Android
Every anypush channel has its own email address. Forward the emails that matter to it with a Gmail or Outlook filter, and each one arrives on your Android phone as a notification, with the subject as its title.
Forward the emails that matter.
In anypush, tap New and choose Email alerts. The channel gets its own address, something like k7f2qm4x…@anypush.app. Everything sent to it arrives as a phone alert: the subject is the title, and the text is the message.
- The school, the dentist, a delivery service, your bank.
- Alerts from a NAS, a router or a camera that can only send email.
- A shared inbox where one email a day is urgent.

With Gmail
- In Gmail on a computer, open Settings, See all settings, then Forwarding and POP/IMAP, and add the channel's address as a forwarding address.
- Gmail sends that address a confirmation code. It arrives on your phone as an anypush alert. Enter it in Gmail.
- Search for the emails you want, for example from:school.example, then choose Create filter, tick Forward it to and pick the channel's address.
Only the emails that match the filter are forwarded. Everything else stays in Gmail.
With Outlook
- In Outlook, open Settings, Mail, then Rules, and add a new rule.
- As the condition, choose who it is from or what the subject contains.
- As the action, choose Forward to and enter the channel's address.
Questions
What does anypush keep from an email?
The subject and the plain text, as a message in your inbox for 7 days (30 on Plus). It keeps no attachments and not the sender's address, and the email itself is deleted from the mailbox once it is read.
Is the address a secret?
Yes. Anyone who knows it can send you alerts. If it leaks, delete the channel and make a new one, and the old address stops working at once.
Do emails arrive during quiet hours?
They arrive silently in your inbox during quiet hours, like any ordinary message.
Can one channel take emails and a script?
Yes. Every channel works all three ways: a button tap, an email or a script request.
Is it free?
Yes. Email-to-push is on both plans. The Free plan has 3 channels and no ads.
Also with anypush: alerts from scripts and cron jobs, a QR doorbell, and a daily check-in for someone who lives alone.
